I want UNT named as an institution on the cutting edge of collegiate recovery that includes: service to the students, service to the community, research, and hands-on practical application for students in addiction counseling.

I want UNT to be a place where the student body is more accommodating and accepting of diversity for people with different backgrounds (race, disability gender, sexuality, etc.).  I want UNT to be the most accessible campus to all regardless of socioeconomic status and aspirational goals.

I would love to see more master level degree programs 100% available on-line and those programs (specifically ATPI) offered on an accelerated speed to allow the degree to be earned with 12-18 months if at all possible.

Please create multiple graduate level programs available online at an accelerated speed allowing students to complete their program taking one course at a time within 12-24 months. This is my dream. I know it may be lofty, but I also know and share the dream of working moms to have this convenience available to them locally!! :) Please consider this. Thanks for reviewing my dream.

I would like to see more support for returning students, veterans, and those who are living life and not just going to school. That means support financially, emotionally, and academically. By academically, I mean faculty, staff, and UNT personnel would be more understanding and accommodating to the demands of returning students who have families and other responsibilities outside of merely the University. If UNT wants to see more successful students leave their program who would then be supporters for UNT and for their continuing student base, then it is in their best interest to support those who are working to that end. After all, without students, you have no UNT.

That UNT would provide more support for and attract students from areas of Texas and the nation outside of the metroplex, and help disassemble the "commuter school" culture that leaves campus dead on the weekends.

We get more funding for the fine arts; for example, we want to be able to bring in more visiting artists for workshops, those are opportunities for us to branch out and expand not only our knowledge, but our network that will support us after we graduate. Also, more public art around campus. We would love that opportunity to promote fine art and have that installation experience.

My hope is that UNT will make a thoughtful assessment of its strengths, innate capabilities, resources; for the present, make a target for the future that is realistic in what it can increase in terms of capabilities and resources.
