Bio Information

Alex Ames has served as the chair of UNT Staff Senate since May 2025. UNT Staff Senate is designed to serve as an advocacy body for all UNT staff members, as well as a vehicle for peer leadership. Staff Senate works with campus administration to ensure that the needs of UNT staff are heard. As a full-time staff member, Alex has served as Stacks & Holds Coordinator for Willis Library since 2023. Prior, he has worked as Reserves Manager, along with years of experience in several student assistant roles at UNT, in addition to having been a graduate services assistant.
