Bio Information

Alfred Dozier IV is the 79th Undergraduate Student Body & Student Government Association President (SGA) since assuming office on June 1, 2024. He oversees the Student Government Association, its three branches and 90+ members. Providing assistance, oversight, and helping manage programs and initiatives to benefit the undergraduate student body and by extension the entire UNT community. Before his tenure as the SGA President, Alfred served as a senator for the Frank W. and Sue Mayborn School of Journalism. He has served in numerous other roles such as an Orientation Leader, President of UNT’s chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists, and as a resident assistant. 
 
Mr. Dozier is currently a junior majoring in Digital & Print Journalism and minoring in Political Science. A Houston native, Mr. Dozier graduated from Bridgeland High School in Cypress, Texas. He has one more year of college left with an expected graduation date of May 2026. After college, he hopes to work in politics and put the skills learned as SGA President to use.
