James Garrison

The Division of Enrollment Operations is comprised of two groups – Enterprise System Software and Network and Infrastructure. Serving the entire UNT campus, including Financial Aid, Student Accounting and the Registrar’s Office, they are responsible for:

Enterprise System Software

• Providing platform administration for many of the systems at UNT from PeopleSoft, Canvas and Visual Schedule Builder, among others
• Implementing, testing, configuration, data integration and maintenance of software

Network & Infrastructure

• Supporting the UNT help desk and database server for Student Affairs and Health Services, as well as the Athletic Department
• Providing laptop support for all UNT employees, including maintaining and monitoring storage and imaging
• Implementing and maintaining video surveillance systems at UNT
• Maintaining meeting spaces across the university

Mr. James Garrison has served as Chief Information Officer at UNT since 2019. Prior to that, he served nearly 10 years at the University of Nevada Las Vegas as director of Student Information Systems and university registrar. He has more than 20 years of experience successfully delivering enterprise software solutions to university departments. James also worked at California State University San Marcos and has attended training with the Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

• B.A. in advertising at National University, San Diego
• M.A. in Strategic Organizational Leadership, Point Loma Nazarene University, San Diego
