Bio Information

Dr. Michael McPherson is Senior Advisor to the President as well as Professor of Economics. After completing his education (B.A., University of Virginia; M.A. and Ph. D, Michigan State University), he joined the Economics Department at the University of North Texas in 1992 as an assistant professor. He began his administrative career in 2015 and has held a variety of posts, including Associate Vice Provost for Faculty Success, Acting Dean, Vice Provost for Student Success, and Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.
